Half a hundred migrants who were on board a boat have disappeared in the Atlantic after being shipwrecked fourteen days after the voyage, according to the testimonies of three survivors found on the coast of Tan Tan, in southern Morocco.

As reported to EFE by Babacar Ndiaye, a member of the NGO Alarm Phone that helps migrants, there were 53 people on the boat of different nationalities, such as Senegal, Mali, Guinea, and the Ivory Coast.

They were trying to reach the Canary Islands in the boat, but their boat sank off Tan Tan and only three people survived.

Ndiaye indicated that the Moroccan authorities have reported that the lifeless bodies of possible crew members of the boat have appeared, but since they do not carry documentation, they have not yet been identified.
