At least 26 dead, including five children, by a shipwreck in the Aegean Sea
The Greek authorities have been able to recover the bodies of six other migrants who were aboard the ship that capsized last Tuesday off the Greek island of Euboea, bringing the number of fatalities from this incident to 26, while 30 people remain missing. , according to a statement issued by the Hellenic Coast Guard.
Among the deceased, there are twelve men, six women, and five minors (3 boys and two girls), while the gender and age of the last three migrants who were found dead on Saturday are still unknown.

The shipwreck occurred in the early hours of Tuesday in the Kafirea Strait, between the islands of Euboea and Andros, amid strong winds of force 8 on the Beaufort scale, with stronger gusts.
According to a statement issued Saturday by Egypt's Migration Ministry, a total of 31 Egyptians were among the 68 migrants traveling on the boat.
Nine of the twelve rescued migrants, who were able to get to safety on a small islet, were rescued in the early hours of Tuesday by a coast guard boat, who rescued one more person throughout the same day and the last two on Wednesday.
According to the testimonies of those rescued, the boat that sank 300 meters from the coast had 68 people on board, none of whom were wearing life jackets, and had departed from the Turkish city of Izmir.
