A Ukrainian woman is executed in the middle of the street after confronting pro-Russian troops in Kherson

The city of Kherson and its province is currently the nerve center of the battles in Ukraine. Every day new stories about the horror of war come from this place.

One of the last stories is terrible. As reported by The Sun newspaper, a Ukrainian nurse was allegedly kidnapped and hanged on the street of Skadovsk, in the Kherson region, by pro-Russian policemen after confronting Putin's troops.

Tetyana Mudrenko and her husband Anatoliy, 60, were allegedly kidnapped from their front garden and Russian collaborators ransacked their home, according to eyewitnesses.

His sister, Natalia Chorna, 56, said Tetyana, also known as Tanya, regularly berated Russian collaborators, yelling "Skadovsk is Ukraine!" on the streets.

A few weeks ago, Natalia received a call from an eyewitness revealing that her sister died after being dragged out onto the street and publicly executed.

"He told me that Tanya was hanged. They put something in her mouth and then they hanged her in front of the court," Natalia Chorna said. Later, his brother-in-law Anatoliy was released from prison to bury his wife. He showed signs of beating and had a broken arm. It has since disappeared.

The local funeral home told Natalia that her sister died of "mechanical asphyxiation" and sent Tanya a death certificate. The Media Initiative for Human Rights (MIHR), a Ukrainian non-profit organization, confirmed the cause of death.

Natalia moved to her Ukrainian-controlled hometown of Dnipro shortly before Russia took Skadovsk in April, but her sister stayed. "In occupied Skadovsk you cannot have your own opinion," the woman concluded.
