Dies run over by the subway in New York after being pushed onto the track during a dispute over a mobile

A man died this Monday run over by a New York subway convoy after a dispute with another man over a mobile phone, according to local media.

The event took place in the Queens neighborhood (eastern New York), specifically at the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue station, when a man accidentally collided with another on the platform while waiting for the subway.

The mobile phone of the second fell on the tracks because of the crash, and a violent dispute followed between the two, with the owner of the cell phone demanding that the other go down to the tracks to bring him his phone.

Apparently, the man who lost the phone pushed the other off the tracks just as the train was arriving, which ran him over, and although the emergency services took him to a nearby hospital, they could not save his life.

This event recalls another similar one from last January, when an unknown person pushed a woman who was waiting for the train at the Times Square station, causing her instant death; however, in that case, the victim was apparently chosen at random, without there being the slightest relationship or previous interaction between them.

After that murder, the New York authorities announced a plan to install protective screens on the subway platforms, although it would be a plan limited to some busier stations, without it being known so far if it has materialized in something more detailed.
