The girlfriend of the man accused of trying to assassinate the Argentine vice president, Cristina Fernández, was arrested and will be investigated by the Justice, according to police sources.

Brenda Uliarte, 23, was arrested on Sunday night for her possible involvement in the attempted assassination of the vice president. The authorities discovered a video in which she appears with the attacker the day the events occurred.

A few days earlier, precisely on Thursday, Fernando Sabag Montiel, a 35-year-old Brazilian national, was arrested after pointing a gun at the vice president's head and pressing the trigger, although no bullet came out.
