Kim Jong-un builds eight new mansions to make an attack against him more difficult

The supreme leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, shows that he fits the cliché of many other dictators and their obsession with his security. Therefore, it is not surprising to know one of his last decisions.

As reported by The Sun, Kim Jong-un has built several new mansions that will serve as his residence, so that possible assassins who attempt an assassination never know where to find him.

The luxury houses have been erected in the Ch'angkwangsan complex, in the heart of the capital, Pyongyang. These mansions would prevent a selective attack carried out from another country.

The Ch'angkwangsan compound faces the ruling party's headquarters and is just one of 13 available to the dictator, his family, and close associates across the country.

The Ch'angkwangsan complex is also close to several places where North Korean leaders hold national events, as well as Pyongyang's food court.

Experts in North Korea believe that in addition to the mansions, Kim Jong-un resorts to other solutions to guarantee his safety, such as underground bunkers or passageways that connect the houses.

Kim Jong-un has been the supreme leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea since 2011, following the death of his father, Kim Jong-il, who in turn inherited the post from his father, Kim Il-sung.
