Russian President Vladimir Putin warned on Tuesday that his country will continue to strengthen its Army with new weapons systems to deal with risks and potential military threats.

One of the novelties in Russian armament is Satan II. Putin assured that this new heavy intercontinental ballistic missile has been successfully tested and added that "it is planned that the first of these systems will be put into service by the end of the year."

"We must actively develop weapons systems based on new physical principles. I am referring to lasers, electromagnetism, and others," he added.

In addition, the Russian leader stated that "we will continue to strengthen our Armed Forces taking into account potential military threats and risks based on modern armed conflicts," Putin said during an act in the Kremlin.

The president pointed out that one of the priority tasks is to provide the troops with "new weapons systems that will determine the combat capacity of the Army and Navy in the coming years and decades."

"Together with the new weaponry tested on the battlefield, the troops began to receive anti-aircraft and anti-missile systems S-500, without analogs in the world," he said.

The president praised the officers and soldiers, who "defend Donbas from neo-Nazis", guaranteed peace and security for the Russian people, and Russia's right to sovereign development.

"We are proud that in the course of the special military operation (in Ukraine) our soldiers act professionally, bravely, like true heroes. Russian servicemen of different nationalities are fighting shoulder to shoulder," he stressed.

He admitted that the country is currently undergoing a new series of tests, alluding to Western sanctions for the Russian military campaign in Ukraine.

"Yes, there are restrictions. Yes, they are overcome in different ways. But they are being overcome and will be overcome without fail," the Russian president emphasized.

He assured that the improvement of the Armed Forces will be useful for "the entire military organization of the State."
