- Zelensky: "When The War Is Over I Just Want To See The Sea And Have A Few Beers"
The Ukrainian first lady, in Paris: "Now we think that the war can last"
The first lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, assumed in an interview with the BFMTV channel that the war unleashed by the Russian invasion "can last", called the Moscow attacks "acts of terrorism" and asserted that she "never" considered abandoning her country.
On the eve of the international conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine, which is being held in Paris and sponsored by French President Emmanuel Macron, Zelenska reviewed the almost 10 months of Russian invasion and called Moscow's recent attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure "acts of terrorism".
"At first, we thought it would be a matter of months, now we think that the war can last, that marathon for life," she acknowledged.
Putin "is not the only one responsible"
For the wife of Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky, the Russian leader, Vladimir Putin, "is not the only one responsible" for the war, as there are other commanders who give "criminal orders" and who must also be punished.
"We lose children and we don't know what happens to them"
Zelenska, who in recent months traveled to the United States and the United Kingdom to denounce the atrocities committed in the Russian invasion, will demand financial and logistical help tomorrow in Paris to face the winter. "If you have electric generators, give them to us," she asked.
Given the suspicions of mass deportations to Russia of Ukrainian children, Zelenska denounced that it is a "pure and hard kidnapping" by Moscow. "We lose children and we don't know what happens to them," she lamented.
Leave Ukraine
The 44-year-old first lady revealed that she meets sporadically with her husband, who rarely sees their children for security reasons.
When the war broke out, "we did not raise the question (of leaving the country). I had no desire to flee or to leave, I say it completely frankly," said Zelenska, who said she had received offers from other countries, including France.
