- There are 4,000 scattered throughout Ukraine, including on the front line, and can accommodate up to 500 people.
Ukraine creates "indestructible points" throughout the country resistant to Russian bombing, with guaranteed electricity, water, heating, and internet
The Ukrainian government has created a network of safe points for the civilian population throughout Ukraine to deal with the Russian bombing. Called "indestructible points", "unbreakable" or "invincibility points", these kinds of bunkers are prepared to face the energy crisis that the country is suffering and are guaranteed all kinds of supplies, such as electricity and drinking water.
"The indestructible points have started to operate in Ukraine. These are security cells that provide stability and warmth. They work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and free of charge as places of temporary stay," explained President Volodimir Zelensky.
These "indestructible points" are located in schools, administrative buildings, local businesses, or military installations, among other places, and there are around 4,000 in operation.
Some of them are even located in frontline regions such as Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, and Kharkiv, whose exact location is kept secret to prevent them from becoming targets of Russian attacks. "For security reasons, we do not show invincibility points near the battle line. You can find out their addresses and location from local self-government bodies and regional military administrations," the authorities reported.

These "indestructible points" have autonomous generators that provide electricity outside the country's energy grid, which is very weak and affected by frequent blackouts due to Russian bombing.
The Ukrainian authorities assure that, even in the face of a general blackout, these places guarantee the supply of electricity, heating, and drinking water, but they also have internet and telephone connections, charging points for electronic devices, and first aid kits.
Depending on their size, they have the capacity to accommodate between 40 and 500 people. "We recommend writing down the addresses of the closest indestructible points and going in case of an emergency disconnection of communication or electricity," they say.
They also stress that "there is no time limit" to stay in one of these energy shelters, although they are intended for short stays: "It is worth giving other people the opportunity to warm up."
"Even if you reach the indestructible point and there are a lot of people there, the guards will do their best to receive you. In the event of an acute shortage of free places, specialists will be involved who will do everything possible to ensure that every citizen has a place in an indestructible point," they say from the Kyiv government.
