The pro-Russian authorities of Kherson, in the south of the Ukrainian territory, have denounced the alleged execution of at least a hundred civilians by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the capital of the region.

As reported by Oleksander Malkevich, an adviser to the pro-Russian governor, Volodimir Saldo, the Ukrainian Army is also allegedly responsible for the disappearance of at least 200 arbitrarily detained people.

Malkevich informed the TASS agency that the Kherson region would be the scene of an alleged recruitment of Ukrainian soldiers, agents of the Security Service and foreign mercenaries to form "social cleansing groups".

According to the adviser, the main objective of these groups would be the "mass detention of civilians" to later try to exchange them for Ukrainian soldiers captured by Russian forces in the framework of the war.
