Fatal accident that leaves one dead: a vehicle crashes into a fireworks shop

A driver died after crashing into a Florida fireworks shop that caught fire on impact. John Marcano, 53, was driving a car along West New Haven Avenue in West Melbourne at 4:15am when he collided with another vehicle, causing both cars to cross an intersection and into the store's car park Phantom Fireworks.

The fatality crashed into the building, igniting the fireworks inside and causing the store to catch fire, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Multiple fireworks and firecrackers have been observed from a distance as even thick smoke. All that remains of the building is a charred exterior.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
