This is the fourth time that a piece of a Long March 5B has entered the Earth in an uncontrolled manner. Although it is not the first time, it seems that China has not yet solved this risk that they take with their launches, leaving the landing site to chance.
The other times that a core stage of Long March 5B has re-entered the atmosphere in an uncontrolled manner have not caused any deaths or injuries. They fell in an inhabited area on the west coast of Africa, in the Indian Ocean, and in northern Borneo (Asia). Although there has been no human damage yet, scientists fear that this may happen sooner or later if no action is taken.
