The United States will have the most technologically advanced battle tank in history: this is AbramsX

AbramsX is the name of the new light tank that General Dynamics Land Systems presented last week at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) fair. It is a model that won a United States Army contest whose objective was to find a vehicle with greater firepower for the Infantry.

Gordon Stein, vice president and general manager of US operations for General Dynamics Land System, said after winning the contest that the team had worked hard to deliver its "prototypes in time to support the Army's evaluation plan."

As seen at the event, the AbramsX is a lightweight armored vehicle that has better mobility and portability than previous vehicles. In addition, its creators claim that its fuel consumption is 50% lower than other models.

Its developers claim that the AbramsX hybrid power pack is compatible with the weather and electrification requirements needed in the US military. They also feature an upgrade that enables silent mobility and surveillance.

Likewise, AbramsX can carry out activities autonomously thanks to an Artificial Intelligence or be manned by a soldier, depending on what is intended to be achieved. General Dynamics Land Systems armor can be key on the battlefield.

At the moment, it is known that the company will develop a total of 96 new vehicles thanks to a contract with the Pentagon of 1,140 million dollars. However, they detail that only 26 AbramsX will be produced in the first batch.
