Zelensky announces "good news": the reconquest of some enclaves in Kharkiv

The president of Ukraine, Volodímir Zelenski, has announced tonight the reconquest of some Ukrainian settlements in Kharkiv, although he has not detailed them.

In his usual late-night speech, Zelensky said that "this week we have good news from the Kharkiv region."

"Now is not the time to name the settlements to which the Ukrainian flag returns," he explained. "But it is time to thank the 25th Airborne Brigade, the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, and the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade for their bravery." and heroism displayed during combat missions.

He also expressed gratitude "to the 406th Separate Artillery Brigade for extremely successful attacks on the areas where the occupiers are concentrated in the south of our country and to the 60th Separate Infantry Brigade, which constantly advances our positions."

"Each success of our army in one direction or another changes the general situation along the entire front line in favor of Ukraine," Zelensky said.

Ukraine continued counter-attack actions on several fronts and "probably pushed back Russian forces" near the town of Balakliya in the eastern Kharkiv region, the Institute for War Studies (ISW) said on Wednesday.

According to the American analytical center, the Ukrainian troops would have captured the village of Verbivka, 3 kilometers from Balakliya, on September 6.
