The export of heating appliances and devices from China to the European Union (EU) grew strongly in recent months due to the energy crisis that affects several European countries in the face of the war in Ukraine, the official newspaper Diario del Village.

According to data from the China Home Appliances Association, the Asian country has recorded remarkable increases in its foreign sales of air conditioners, hair dryers, and other electrical devices such as boilers, heaters, and blankets.

Specifically, the export of electric blankets -very popular in China- practically doubled its volume (+97%) between January and July compared to the data for the same period of the previous year.

For its part, Chinese air heat pumps were sold 71% more in Spain, 198% more in Italy, 373% more in Poland, and 614% more in Bulgaria during the first half of the year.

The employers pointed out that the products that are experiencing strong increases in sales abroad are those that have temperature adjustment functions, which would reflect that European consumers are preparing for the coming winter.

The People's Daily, the official organ of the Communist Party of China (PCCh), assures that the energy crisis in Europe is "worsening" and that it is already taking its toll on "industries and means of subsistence" due to the significant rises in electricity prices or natural gas.
