Putin reacts to his setbacks in Ukraine by displaying nuclear submarines near Alaska
Vladimir Putin's troops are at their worst since the start of the war in Ukraine. Local troops are in a full counteroffensive and have regained ground, which has led to doubts in the Kremlin.
In the midst of the Russian retreat, the Kremlin regime has wanted to carry out a representation of force and has done so very close to the United States: in Alaska.
The Russian navy has carried out maneuvers with nuclear submarines in the Barents and Laptev seas, an area where Russia has stationed important military assets.
According to The Sun, the Granit and Oniks missiles were launched from the Northern Sea Route, a strategic passage for maritime transport that connects Europe and the Pacific.
The Russian Defense Ministry admitted that the missiles "hit a complex sea target, mimicking a detachment of simulated enemy warships, at a distance of more than four hundred kilometers."
Fears have recently been raised that Russia has "significantly increased" its military presence in the Arctic. Putin has reopened military bases in the Arctic Circle to strengthen his control over an area rich in natural resources.
