The UK bank that wants to give more than 200 euros for free to its customers
A British bank, First Direct, has announced that it will give several of its clients 175 pounds sterling (about 200 euros) in cash... and for free, as reported by the Liverpool Echo newspaper.
First Direct will deliver the money to all new customers who switch their checking accounts to First Direct using the Checking Account Switching Service (CASS).
Customers must also make a deposit of at least £1,000 (just under €1,200) within three months of opening the account to be eligible for the £175.
"We know that changing banks sounds like a nightmare, but we promise you it's not. With the Checking Account Change Service (CASS), choose a date and we'll change everything in just seven business days," says the bank.
"Any (unlikely) mistake will cost us, not you," they continue. The offer is only available to people who have not previously had an account with First Direct.
Of course, they warn that "we reserve the right to reject your application and withdraw this offer at any time. The credit is subject to the state and an evaluation of your financial circumstances".
