Taiwan receives another US delegation in full escalation of tensions with China
The president of Taiwan, Tsai Ing-Wen, received a new US delegation on Monday, this time led by the Republican governor of the state of Indiana, Eric Holcomb, in the midst of escalating tensions with China.
Holcomb has been received this Monday by the president of Taiwan a day after his arrival on the island for a four-day visit. His is a new show of support from Washington after the passage of Senator Ed Markey and especially the president of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi.
Pelosi's visit prompted criticism from China, which in response carried out a series of military exercises, which for Taiwan are nothing more than "threats" for which it has asked its "democratic allies" to remain "united" to " promote" cooperation "in all areas.
