Arrested for attempting to run over a plainclothes officer in his yard as he tried to flee

A 54-year-old man, identified as Gregory Martin Hill, has been arrested for attempted murder when he tried to run over a police officer from Decatur, Georgia (USA).

Agent Jack Brow was at home and heard an SUV parked in front of the yard. After asking him if he needed help, the driver hit a tree and tried to run over the agent, who managed to avoid him and enter the house to look for his weapon and some handcuffs.

Desperately, the police tried to arrest the driver who, after refusing, tried to escape and hit the agent again, but ended up arrested before the astonished gaze of a neighbor who was watching the scene.

Police accuse the man of attempted murder and a court has set bail for him at one million dollars. According to the agent, there was no prior connection between him and his assailant. The policeman needed medical assistance but has already been discharged.
