A woman cuts her partner's genitals for raping her teenage daughter
A mother in the Indian province of Uttar Pradesh cut off her boyfriend's genitals after she caught him trying to rape her 14-year-old daughter in the apartment they shared.
The 36-year-old woman explained that she arrived home just at the moment when her 32-year-old lover was harassing her daughter. According to the local press, she tried to save her daughter and her partner turned on her and tried to attack her.
So, he ran to the kitchen where he took a knife and cut the man's genitals.
"I was working on the farm when the incident occurred," the woman told the Times of India. "Luckily, I came home just in time and caught him red-handed. I brought a knife from the kitchen and cut off his private parts to teach him a lesson. I don't regret what I did."
The couple had reportedly been living together for two years after the mother left her husband due to his drinking habits.
In critical condition
The events occurred on Wednesday in the Mahevaganj area of Lakhimpur Kheri, about 160 kilometers east of New Delhi.
Police have reported that the man was arrested on suspicion of rape under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.
He is currently in critical condition and has been referred to Lucknow for further treatment. It is unclear if the mother will face any legal charges.
