Storing data in Spain with better performance and security is now possible with Google Cloud

- The first Google Cloud server in Spain is located in Madrid and its arrival is the most important, since, from now on, latency in the cloud will be reduced and data will be able to be stored in the country.

Google Cloudlands in Madrid after two years of building these servers in Spain. This platform brings together all web development applications and is used to create technological solutions through information stored in the cloud.

These facilities have been built in collaboration with Telefónica and it is the first data region of the American company in Spain, which aims to use the cloud with lower latency and the possibility of storing data in Spanish territory.

The facilities are located in Madrid and the personal and application data of the users will be located in the same place. This will achieve better performance, as well as greater security of them.

The Secretary of State for Digitization and Artificial Intelligence, Carmen Artigas, has assured that it is "the vision of a humanistic digital transformation of Spain that supports the ambition of sovereignty that marks the agenda at the national and European level".

Some of the benefits that these servers are going to bring are a much lower data transmission latency because before they had to go through some servers in Germany, Belgium, or the Netherlands first, and, therefore, the latency was higher when further away.

Another advantage is that being in Spanish territory, they will be protected by European laws, at the same time as by Spanish regulations, thus seeing the security of users reinforced.

From now on, companies will be able to offer an improved experience to users and those automated processes will benefit most from the new Google Cloud servers.

In these servers, Google will not be in charge of carrying out all the security, but the Spanish company Indra will be the one that has control of our data, thus removing power from the technological giant that will not be able to access them.

In addition to all the security advantages for users, Google Cloud estimates that it will generate some 1,200 direct jobs and another 1,000 jobs indirectly, and it is expected that many companies will begin to hire more staff, reaching up to 10,000 extra jobs.

From Google, they have not wanted to reveal where exactly this facility is going to be located to maintain maximum privacy and security of this place that we only know is in the capital of the country.
