The Russian Army continues with its "massive bombardments" in Donbas, in eastern Ukraine, especially in the cities of Slovyansk and Sievierodonetsk, to end the Ukrainian resistance, according to sources from the Kyiv General Staff.

The Ukrainian command noted that "the enemy does not stop carrying out offensive operations in the Donbas Zone and continues to launch missiles and airstrikes against infrastructure facilities in Ukraine."

The Donbas, bordering Russia, includes the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, self-proclaimed independent republics a few days before the start of the Russian invasion and recognized by Moscow.

According to the military report, in Donetsk, "the main efforts of the enemy are focused on taking full control of the village of Lyman and trying to improve the tactical position near Sievierodonetsk and Avdivka", two strategic points in the area.

"The enemy uses artillery and assault aircraft to fire on Ukrainian positions and civilian infrastructure in the region," the Ukrainian General Staff said.

Ten attacks neutralized

According to the latest publications of the Ukrainian command, the Russians are trying to "improve their tactical position in the Izium area and resume the offensive on the city of Slovyansk (in Donestk). To this is added the firing of artillery, MLRS, mortars, and tanks over localities in the area such as Chepil, Dovhenke, Kurulka, Bohorodychne, and Studenok".

Another of the offensives that it has opened is the continuous attempts to keep under control and expand its presence in the regions of Kherson and Zaporizhia, in the south of the country and close to the Crimean peninsula, which it already annexed in 2014.

According to the Ukrainian Army, in the last 24 hours, ten enemy attacks were neutralized by targeting the Donetsk and Lugansk fronts.

Another "four enemy tanks, two artillery systems, an armored personnel carrier, another conventional vehicle and a special equipment unit were destroyed. The air defense units shot down five Orlan-10 UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles)," the report said.
